About the Speaker:

Naveen Yalamanchi, MD
Dr. Yalamanchi is a physician scientist, entrepreneur, and partner at RTW Investments, a global life sciences investment firm with offices in New York, London, and Shanghai. He brings more than two decades of experience in healthcare investing and research, and currently leads RTW’s medical technology investment strategy. In addition to serving on the boards of several medtech companies and on the Dean’s Leadership Council, he is also a co-founder of Rocket Pharmaceuticals, a clinical-stage gene therapy company. Dr. Yalamanchi earned his MD from Stanford and completed his orthopedic surgery internship at UCLA.

Naveen brings more than 20 years of experience in healthcare investment and research, and directs the firm’s medical technology investment strategy. He is an authority in identifying and cultivating transformative opportunities across medical devices, instruments & tools, diagnostics, and digital health.
Naveen serves as a board member of several innovative healthcare and medical technology companies, and he is also the co-founder of Rocket Pharmaceuticals, a clinical-stage gene therapy company.
Prior to RTW, Naveen was Vice President and Co-Portfolio Manager at Black Capital. Earlier in his career, he held senior healthcare investment roles at Millennium Management and Davidson Kempner Capital Management.
Naveen graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a BS in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He earned his MD from Stanford University School of Medicine and completed his internship at UCLA Department of Orthopedic Surgery. He is a named patent holder, and the author of numerous peer-reviewed publications.
