I currently serve as an Environmental Health Officer with the Commissioned Corps of the US Public Health Service. The USPHS Commissioned Corps is one of the nation’s eight uniformed services and officers work to protect, promote, and advance the health and safety of the nation. During deployments, I typically serve as a safety officer to ensure the overall safety of personnel and those within our care whether it be at a federal medical station, evacuation shelter, or other federal locations. During non-deployments, I am assigned to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) as a Safety Engineer. I perform surveys (inspections) of medical facilities including hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, etc. to ensure they are complying with federal regulations for fire safety, healthcare standards, and emergency preparedness and planning.

Personal Interests

During my free time, my interests include baking desserts and spoiling my French bulldog.
