Michael Gray

About

I am from Orange County, born, raised, and never left. I graduated from undergrad at UCI as a neurobio major in 2004 and liked UCI so much I stayed on for medical school (class of 2008) and residency (internal medicine, class of 2011). From there, I became a hospitalist at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach, where I continue to practice. A few years into practicing medicine, I decided to get my MBA at UCLA concurrent with practicing in the hospital. I used those skills to start a career as a medical director for a large health plan based on Los Angeles. For 2+ years, I worked full time as a hospitalist at night and insurance medical director during the day. After learning the ropes of the insurance company, I created a consulting company, which allows me more flexibility to take on multiple projects and provide chief medical officer and medical director services for various payors throughout the state of California.

Personal Interests

I love to travel, shop, eat out, and collect Air Jordans.
